Block purchases are managed by our Procurement and Quality Control teams in order to acquire the slabs that are need for both current projects and for prospective works to be added to our collection. This process takes place in 4 steps:

Quarry selection:
Our team searches both domestic and overseas quarries and selects the ones where the most appropriate blocks can be found for the market, customer and project.

Block selection:
Blocks are selected and reserved by checking criteria such as size, solidity, pattern, integrity ratio and continuity of the stone.

Slab cutting:
Purchased blocks are examined in respect of type and physical features. Each step is delicately checked and monitored and all relevant actions are taken in the best way possible to turn blocks into slabs.

Slab Control:
During the slab cutting process, each slab is checked both visually and physically. Then patterns and surface texture are identified. After slab dimensions are taken, photos are taken. In case there is a fault, slabs are reprocessed. Those slabs that pass quality control with approval are dispatched to our Istanbul Ayazaga or İzmir Export Showrooms.
