BLACK ESPERA, belonging to the quartzite group, is a natural stone known for its high durability and strong surface performance. With its dense mineral structure, it is resistant to staining, scratching, and high heat, making it a long-lasting and reliable solution for both residential and commercial projects.
It is suitable for interior and exterior flooring, wall cladding, façades, high-traffic areas, wet areas, and countertop applications. Surface finishes applied to the stone are important not only for the visual effect but also for comfort and safety. For example, in exterior floors, terraces, and poolside areas, matte and textured finishes with appropriate slip-resistance values should be preferred.
Additionally, different textures offer designers alternatives for achieving either a modern or natural aesthetic. The right texture selection enhances projects both visually and functionally.

FAQs

Where can BLACK ESPERA be used?

It can be used in interior and exterior floors, wall cladding, façades, staircases, lobbies, wet
areas, pool surrounds, and countertop applications. Thanks to its high durability, it is also
suitable for areas with heavy foot traffic.

Is BLACK ESPERA suitable for kitchen countertops?

Yes. Quartzite is widely used for kitchen and service countertops thanks to its high resistance
to scratching and heat.

Does it stain?

Its mineral structure makes it naturally stain-resistant and scratch-resistant—one of the key
features that sets quartzite apart from other stones. To maintain its appearance, spills—
especially acidic, oily, or strongly pigmented liquids—should not be left on the surface for
long, and suitable sealers are recommended.

Can BLACK ESPERA be safely used outdoors?

Yes. Quartzite group natural stones perform exceptionally well against external weather
conditions. Therefore, they are often preferred for landscape design, terraces, walkways, pool
decks, and façade cladding.

How scratch-resistant is BLACK ESPERA?

With its high hardness value, it is highly resistant to scratching—belonging to one of the
hardest natural stone groups. This provides a major advantage in heavily used floors and
countertop surfaces. Nevertheless, avoiding metal, sharp tools, and heavy impacts will extend
the stone’s lifespan.

How should it be maintained?

Use microfiber or other soft-textured materials instead of abrasive tools. Prefer neutral pH
cleaners (pH 7), diluted soft soap, and warm water. After cleaning, dry the surface with a soft
cloth.
